Dickens’ Christmas Towne

Friday November 29th, 2019 through Tuesday, December 31st, 2019
Located at Nauticus at 1 Waterside Drive, Norfolk, VA 23510

Highlights: Explore Dickens’ Christmas Towne-a magical holiday village in the Decker Half Moone Center at Nauticus-featuring music, entertainment, food, shops, and more! New entertainment highlights this holiday season. Gingerbread men walk, nutcrackers talk and a juggling “jack-in-the-box” will have you jumping out of your seat! Magic and acrobatics are all part of the show- welcome to Fergus & Foggs’ Toy Emporium! Admission is $7.50 for adults, $5 for children (ages 3-12) and free for children ages 2 and under.

Million Bulb Walk

Friday, November 8th, 2019 through Saturday December 14th, 2019 from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM nightly.
Located at Norfolk Botanical Garden, 6700 Azalea Garden Road Norfolk, VA 23518

Highlights: Walk through more than a million holiday lights with family and friends! The event route is approximately a mile long and is accessible for strollers, wheelchairs and mobility assistance devices. At the end of the route there is a tram that will take guests back to parking lot.

Bayport Credit Union Holiday Lights Merry Mile

Friday, November 22nd, 2019 through Tuesday, December 31st, 2019 from
5:30pm – 10:00pm Sunday through Thursdays and 5:30pm – 11:00pm Friday- Saturday.
Located at Virginia Beach boardwalk, from 8th to 22nd Street. The entrance is located at 2nd Street.
Highlights: The lights will be turned on once again at the BayPort Credit Union Holiday Lights Merry Mile, bringing joy and wonder to Hampton Roads this holiday season! Take a shiny journey into nautical, holiday, and adventure lands – all along the beautiful Virginia Beach boardwalk. Festive fish, musical crabs, and hard-working elves – all in bright, colored lights against the clear night-time sky, are the stars of The BayPort Credit Union Holiday Lights Merry Mile. They are joined by Santa, elves, and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree erected on the beach and in the beautiful parks along the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Admission is $10 for passenger vehicles,$25 for Limousines and Mini buses, and $ 45 for motor coaches.

27th Annual Celebration in Lights

Thursday, November 28th, 2019 through January 1st, 2020 from 5:30 PM until 10:00 PM.
Located in Newport News Park at the intersection of Ft. Eustis Blvd. and Jefferson Ave. in Newport News, VA.
Highlights: Celebration in Lights, Virginia’s first drive-through holiday light event, opens for its 27th season on Thanksgiving night (November 28, 2019). This year, the event will be a part of the new, citywide BayPort NlightN Holiday Event Series. Newport News Park will be transformed by over a million individual lights, creating animated holiday and fanciful scenes. For its 27th year, the event will add new lighting effects in the Newport News Golf Course at Deer Run area and enhancements to the Newport News arch .The event will be open each evening, 5:30 – 10:00 p.m., through January 1, 2020.

Winter Wonderland: The Coleman Collection at the Children’s Museum

Highlights: For the first time, a portion of the nostalgic holiday collection known as Winter Wonderland: The Coleman Collection will be re-envisioned and displayed within The Children’s Museum of Virginia.
The Children’s Museum of Virginia will offer new opportunities for visitors to enjoy reimagined holiday exhibits, the popular Eye Spy scavenger hunt, and an array of programs and activities. Sock Skating also returns to the changing gallery. Admissions is $5 per person.

Located in Downtown Suffolk on Main & Washington Streets, Suffolk, VA 23434.
Highlights: Join in the lights and sounds of the Suffolk Holiday Parade. The parade starts at 7:00 p.m. Find the best spot to watch the floats, equestrian units, marching bands and festive vehicles stroll down West Washington Street and take a turn up North Main Street with the parade route ending at Finney Avenue. Free parking for the event is available in all City public lots including the Godwin Courthouse parking lot, Saratoga Street lot, Commerce Street Lot and Market Park parking lot.

Look for colonial crafts and games, holiday music, and other hands-on activities.
