A two vehicle accident on Thursday, April 3rd, 2014, ended in fatality. The crash happed on I-664 Northbound before the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel. According to Sgt. Michelle Anaya, spokeswoman of the Virginia State Police, a 2013 Toyota crashed into the back of a 2010 Kenworth tractor-trailer at roughly 11a.m. The tractor-trailer was stopped in front of an inspection station at the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel, near the College Drive exit. The Toyota crashed into the stopped trailer. The driver of the Toyota died from her injuries at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
