Who Pays In A Daycare Claim?
Daycares have a substantial insurance policy as required by the state of Virginia. If you are worried about the cost of care for you child increasing or your local daycare going out of business, the insurance requirment protects children and the daycare.
You will not be fighting the people that run the daycare. Instead, we will be negotiating with the insurance company.
Children Cannot Be Held Liable for Certain Injuries
In Virginia, children under seven cannot be considered “negligent,” and those ages 7-14 cannot understand the perils associated with their actions. Virginia recognizes a parent has a general duty to supervise and care for a child’s safety, but a parent’s lack of supervision generally does not preclude the child from compensation for their injuries.
